Both fill open shifts a facility cannot cover internally. The route between the facility and the professional differs.
How StaffHealth prices a shift
The provider sets their rate. StaffHealth’s markup is a fixed 20% of the base staffing rate. That is the whole construction, and it is visible before the shift is booked.
The provider’s rate varies by professional, state and shift. The margin does not — there is no StaffHealth night differential, weekend premium, or short-notice multiplier. A harder shift to fill may cost more because the provider asks for more, never because our share changed.
How the workflow runs
- 1The facility posts an open shift with role, date, time and how many providers it needs.
- 2Available providers request it. The facility reviews who responded.
- 3The facility assigns coverage and manages the shift in the same place.
Assignment stays with the facility. Nobody is sent to a building that did not choose them.
What to ask traditional staffing agencies
- What is the agency’s margin on the hour, and is it disclosed?
- Which additions apply — nights, weekends, short notice, holidays — and are they the agency’s or the professional’s?
- How long does confirmation take, and who confirms it?
- Does the facility choose the professional, or receive one?
